Good post. Just finished that Cormac McCarthy. Wow.
That's an interesting connection between "Natural Anthem" and Crying of Lot 49. I always thought "Anthem" had a bit of a situationist quality about it ... certainly more than anything else on Give Up.

yeah it's going to be a Coen brothers' movie. I think it's perfect for them.
This is really weird. I have just been looking for a place to download Natural Anthem because it has been stuck in my head the last few days.
Now I find your blog, one day after I have decided to pick up The Crying of Lot 49 again.
So I guess I will combine the two on this lazy Sunday.
