Win Tickets to Animal Collective @ Vanguard

So Spaceland Blast is giving away three pairs of tickets to Animal Collective's show next week at the Vanguard Theater. You just need to answer a simple question and email them at contest@spaceland.tv by 5pm on March 3. The Content thought we'd help you out a little bit and give you the answers since we didn't procrastinate and already bought our tickets. Winners will be notified by 5pm on March 6. Q: What are the origins of the Geologist and Panda Bear monikers?

Panda Bear:
"CWAS: The group members work under unusual monikers for their work in Animal Collective. Was Panda Bear something you were using as a name before then? I had always assumed you had picked the names when you all started working together.

Noah: No…I actually used to make all these tapes on an old 8 track machine, and I started drawing all these little panda bears on the front, and eventually I just started calling myself Panda Bear." (source: Discorder)

Somebody incorrectly thought he studied geology in college, while in reality it was biology. The name stuck. (source: Wikipedia)
